About me
I am a Musician and composer with a comprehensive background in both performance and academic studies. Born in Turkey and currently residing in Greece, my musical journey has encompassed a wide range of cultures and genres, from traditional Turkish music to classical European compositions and Greek folk music. Possessing extensive experience as a trumpet player in various orchestras and ensembles, I have performed in numerous countries, sharing the stage with talented musicians globally. I have earned degrees in European Music as well as in Musicology and Music Education, specializing in Eastern Mediterranean Modal and Maqam music, its practice, and theory. Throughout my career, I have also served as a music instructor at national and international music festivals and conferences. My compositions reflect a deep understanding of Eastern Mediterranean Makam music, combined with influences of European Modes from my musical experiences across different genres and traditions. This eclectic background has provided me with a rich palette from which to draw in my compositional endeavors.
